Black Honey is a specialty cofeeshop chain with a fancy reputation. The initial room was quite hard to work with - with round granite stairs, blue steel rails and angular wall configuration - we needed to take all of that into account. The room felt way too complicated and tasteless.
We decided to turn weakness into strength - took blue color as a basis, added some futuristic vibe with heated stainless steel and bold pink table.
The space under the stairs was used for a cozy seating podium. And the space upstairs was turned dark blue with curtains and local yellow light accents - to create a "cave" or "theater set" effect.
